1. Who we are
MeritByte Postiz is a social publishing workspace operated by MeritByte Technologies (“MeritByte,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It is an independently operated deployment built with open-source Postiz software. For privacy questions or requests, email amritgyawali999@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
Account and workspace information
We may process your name, email address, encrypted authentication information, organization or workspace details, preferences, and records needed to maintain your account.
Social-network connection data
When you connect a social account, the relevant platform may provide account identifiers, display name, username, avatar, page or channel details, granted permissions, and authorization tokens. We use these details only to provide the connection and publishing functions you request.
Content and publishing data
We process the captions, titles, images, videos, links, scheduling choices, platform settings, drafts, and publishing results that you submit to the service.
TikTok information
If you connect TikTok, we may process information TikTok makes available through its approved APIs, such as your TikTok account identifier, display name, avatar, authorization scopes and tokens, selected privacy settings, video content and captions you ask us to publish, and the status of publishing requests. We do not use TikTok data for unrelated advertising or sell it to third parties.
Technical and usage data
Our systems may record IP address, browser and device information, request time, pages or features used, cookie identifiers, and diagnostic or security logs. These records help us operate, secure, and troubleshoot the service.
3. How we use information
- Provide, maintain, authenticate, and secure your workspace.
- Connect the social accounts you authorize.
- Create, schedule, and publish content according to your instructions.
- Show publishing status, history, and account information in the workspace.
- Respond to support, privacy, and security requests.
- Detect abuse, investigate errors, and comply with legal obligations.
We process information to perform the service you request, pursue legitimate interests such as security and reliability, comply with law, and, where required, based on your consent. You may withdraw a platform authorization by disconnecting the account.
4. How information is shared
We disclose information only when needed for the service, including:
- Social platforms: content and account instructions are sent to the platform you select, such as TikTok, so it can process your request.
- Infrastructure providers: hosting, storage, database, security, and network providers may process limited data on our behalf.
- Legal and safety needs: we may disclose data when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights, prevent fraud, or address security.
- Business changes: data may transfer as part of a merger, reorganization, financing, or sale, subject to appropriate safeguards.
We do not sell or rent personal information.
5. Cookies and similar technologies
We use essential cookies to keep you signed in, protect account sessions, remember necessary preferences, and support security. Blocking essential cookies may prevent the authenticated workspace from working.
6. Retention
We retain account, content, connection, and technical data only for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal or security obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention can vary by data type. When information is no longer required, we delete or de-identify it, subject to limited backup and legal retention periods.
7. Disconnecting accounts and deleting data
You can stop future access to a connected platform by removing that connection in the workspace and, where available, revoking the app in the platform’s own security settings. To request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal information, email amritgyawali999@gmail.com from the address associated with your account. We may ask you to verify your identity.
Disconnecting a platform stops new API access but may not automatically delete content you already published on that platform. Delete published content using the platform’s tools or contact that platform directly.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including encrypted HTTPS transport, access controls, restricted infrastructure, and token protections. No online system can guarantee absolute security, so please use a strong password and protect your account credentials.
9. International processing
The service, its providers, and connected social platforms may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Children
The service is intended for business and professional users and is not directed to children under 13. Users must also meet the minimum age required by each connected social platform. If you believe a child provided us personal data, contact us so we can investigate and delete it where appropriate.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing; receive a portable copy; withdraw consent; or complain to a data-protection authority. Contact us to exercise a right. We will not discriminate against you for making a valid privacy request.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised policy at this URL and update the date above. Material changes may also be communicated through the service or by email when appropriate.
